Does this always mean you have congenital syphilis? I ask because my 4 front teeth have small notches..

I think that it might be possible to achieve a similar effect by repeatedly biting particular things (e.g. pens, seeds) or holding things between your front teeth (pins and needles while sewing, nails while doing construction, bobby-pins while putting your hair up, etc.) Where’s the resident dentist? @fancymylotus

Seems to me like you need to have a talk with your mom.

I still have them and I wouldn't call myself young at all. They are less prominent than they were though. And I will be very angry at the years I was in braces if my teeth are misaligned. Are there any other reasons?

Again, not dental advice.

Thats usually the main reason. And a lot of the time, even if your teeth look perfectly aligned to your eye, they may not actually be. I would suggest talking to your dentist.

Thank you @fancymylotus . I'm not actually worried about my bumpy incisors, I was just curious. Thank you for your non-dental advice.

Go away, dentists. His mom is a syphilitic ***** and that's the end of it.

If you're going into ENT, you gotta learn all about mamelons. Learn to love the mamelons.

Not sure why. Something to do with determining occlusion...

Or why I never touched an ed patient with teeth problems on my ed rotation. I was like "noooooope. I'm just gonna end up pissing off dental."

I don't mind dealing with the patients and I actually usually enjoy working with OMFS/dental. It's just the reading. Like I'll be really interested reading about tumors of the H+N, but once it gets to odontogenic cancers it's like ameloblastozzzzzzzz....

I have that very same problem.
