Notes to journals?

I might get a note published for a journal. Is this anything to be proud of (worthy to put on my app) since it's not a full paper?
 
Like what kind of "note"? Are you talking about an abstract? Or are we talking a mini article? Is it peer-reviewed? If it's not really a peer-reviewed article, then it's not really being published, sorry. I'd probably lean toward no from what you've said, but there are probably some additional pertinent details that would sway one toward it being put on your app, CV, etc.
 
It's about five pages long actually and it's going to a peer reviewed journal presumably being reviewed right now. I guess some journals call them notes others don't? I'm not sure what they are exactly which is why I'm asking. It's one of those things where you did some experiments but it doesn't warrant a full length paper.
