Hi everyone...I have a question about WVSOM. I have already been contacted by all other schools I applied to, but have yet to hear anything from WVSOM. I know they don't send out a secondary like everyone else, but I haven't even gotten an email or letter saying they have my information. Anyone else still waiting to hear from them? Should I contact their admissions office to make sure they have my application?

From what I read, WVSOM screens your primary application. So if the like your primary, then they'll offer you an interview and secondary.

I guess it also depends on when you were complete. I just got an interview invite today, but i was completed the first day possible.

I talked t WVSOM this morning, they said that they haven't processed my primary yet (mailed 7/15). She said that that didn't mean that they don't physically have it, only that it hasn't been uploaded into the admissions program. She said it usually takes 3 weeks but could take up to 8 weeks. HTH Oh, and I have not gotten an correspondence from them yet either.

Thanks. That was when my primary was mailed out too, so at least I know it isn't that they don't like me! Guess I will just keep waiting to hear something.

hmmm, i was verified by AACOMAS 7/22...and got my KCUMB secondary about 1.5 weeks ago.

WVCOM wants their money!! $40 for instate and $80 for out of state i believe.

i was also waiting for their response about receiving my primary.. and then i went on their website and found out that they want money before they consider your application "complete" (to even look at to determine whether or not they want to grant you an interview). so i sent them a check.. the funny thing is.. 2 days after i sent the check (it only takes 2 days to get there from where i am), they sent me an email saying they received my primary from aacomas, but i know what they really meant to say was, "we've received your check".

Actually I got an interview invite without having sent a check. They ask you to send the check after they invite you to fill out their secondary and at the same time will offer you an interview. This is my experience. Best of luck!

You do not have to send money to WVSOM to get an interview and secondary. I received my interview invite and secondary and I will be mailing out my $80 check to them next week.

haha i was only kidding about bribing them for a secondary/interview. from their website, what i thought they wanted was the application fee to "complete" your file... that's all. no harm meant!! 😳

I'm a graduate student with a 3.8 and a 30 on the MCAT and just got the invite a few days ago. My undergrad was about a 3.4 give or take a bit.
