Any suggestions on hotels or motels near the school? I have an interview this Friday 1/21/11 and I need to book a room asap. Looking for a good reason price. Thanks

When was your interview? I still havent heard anything from them....
Sorry - I haven't logged in a while...

-My interview was on Jan 7 and I recieved an acceptance letter on Jan 14. I am not sure at the moment whether I will attend (It depends on where else I am excepted).

-About apartments: If you are female, you may dorm at Notre Dame. Otherwise, check out the apartment listings at http://www.baltimorecollegetown.org/resources/roommates/browse-listings/ .

-About hotels nearby:
The Radison Hotel at Cross Keys ($169 a night) is closest. Also close: BALTIMORE INN AT COLONNADE ($189 a night) , Hopkins Inn ($89 a night, so probably cheapest nearby). For more info: http://www.hotels-rates.com/hotels/locations/Baltimore/MD/usa/983/

Contact super shuttle for pickup from the airport to your hotel. I made the mistake of taking a taxi which ran me about $55 dollars :scared:. Super shuttle is about $20. BTW congrats to all those who got accepted, I decided to put in my deposit for ndm as well. Currently looking for a place to stay as well as a housemate, let me know if anyones interested 👍

any of you guys know how long it will take for them to reply whether you get accepted or not?

Ive been waiting for a month now to hear from them, and some people heard from them after 4-5 days ... so I guess it depends on how strong of a candidate you are...

I was waiting for three weeks before I finally emailed Mr. Shattuck asking him about the status of my application. He informed me that the college was waiting for my Fall semester grades before making a decision. Its nice to be told these things.

It doesn't make any sense though because when I interviewed, I had an updated transcript sent to PharmCAS with my fall semester grades on it. I also had an updated transcript with my that I handed to Mr. Epps. It just irks me that I had to ask about my application and the fact that the admissions staff didn't even check the updated transcript that I handed to them and the updated one on PharmCAS.

Oh well. I'll be attending Thomas Jefferson University in the fall.

do they email you your acceptance letter or by actually mail.

hey i don't know if you know, but NDM already have a forum setup on facebook (i think it is something like college of notre dame at maryland cop 2015)....people who are in this class are currently registered in it so it might be more helpful to find someone through that forum...good luck:luck:

I would encourage each of you who chooses to attend Notre Dame to shape the program for excellence. You have a unique opportunity to leave a mark on a program still in its infancy. Make a great effort to meet with faculty, advisers and administrators regularly to improve that program and through continuous process development fully integrate the program into the state and city of Baltimore. I would love to see that program thrive and do well to provide both a contrast and colleague with University of Maryland, a school I am far more familiar with.

Amen to that! 👍

interviewed 2/4/11 and I received the acceptance letter today!

Any suggestions for apartments in the campus area? Even if it is 30 min far I am willing to drive.
Will start phrm.D in August

hey guys,
i hav a question...are you guys at all worry about the school accreditation? I know that if the school grad it first class then the school is fully accred...but what are other conditions to graduation their first class????

If there is anyone that is looking for a roommate, please message me! I've found a few places that I like, but if you know of any other place, let me know too. I'm looking for a quiet, clean, and responsible female to share an apartment.

I was wondering if any of you could provide interview experiences? I just received an interview invitation for available dates in April. They gave me three dates to choose from.

This is the only Notre Dame COP thread I could find with regards to this years application cycle. Does anyone know how full the class is or how many seats are left in the class? If I decide to accept the interview offer I am afraid that my chances would be too slim in gaining acceptance in that it is so late in the interview cycle. What are your thoughts?

When I interviewed, on 3/15, I was told that they still needed to fill 1/3 of their class so you still have a good shot of getting in. The interview is very relaxed but drawn out. First, you'll meet with the director of admissions to go over your transcript just to make sure you're on track with your pre-reqs, then you will have a 20-30min interview with 2 faculty members which is open-file. They ask you ~4 or 5 questions and then you get to ask them some questions (very laid back, not stressful at all). You will then get a 45 min presentation about the school, lunch with 2 pharmacy students, a financial aid presentation, then a tour of the campus. It's very easy going, just really dragged out (you literally get done at 2:30pm). Good luck!!

I posted my experience in the interview feedback, it was very helpful for me going through it for my interview. I agree with pharmmd12, the interview is v.relaxed but very long. I didn't get a campus tour as weather wasn't pleasant that day and i was glad b/c i was too tired to take it anyway.

Amreen, do you go to Towson University? Your name sounds so familiar.. did you interview on 3/15 at notre dame?

Awesome, congrats! Will you be accepting the offer?

BTW- Thanks for the info. I will be accepting the interview offer 🙂

I'm going to wait and see if I get into my top choice which is VCU but if I don't hear back from VCU before the deposit is due for Notre Dame to hold my place, then I will pay the deposit because it is definitely a good school. They are in the process of constructing the new pharmacy building so everything will be brand new in the fall which is definitely a plus!

interviewed 2/4/11 and I received the acceptance letter today!

Do you remember getting an email for a background check request the same day that you got the acceptance email from Notre Dame? I just got the background request email but it doesn't state which school requested it and there are other schools that I am waiting to hear from...

No I will not be accepting the offer. I got accepted into Shenandoah which is my second choice, VCU is my first but I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I really just want to experience somewhere other than Baltimore... Have you interviewed anywhere else?

I received my acceptance email today!! I'm still waiting to hear back from my top choice school so i cant say for sure if i'll accept but i'm excited to have the option!

is anyone else interviewing on may 20th? more importantly, is anyone that's interviewing from out of state? how do you guys feel about the candidate status thing? i'm not sure what it really means cause when we graduate & they're still not accredited, does that mean we are only allowed to practice in the state of maryland? or does the state of maryland even recognize ndm? i think that's my biggest concern as i prepare for the interview but i don't want it to bias my views when i go to the school. any input would be great. thanks!

For students at Notre Dame - do you know whether CoND accept Jan. PCAT? I have taken it before but I would like to get a better score??

I do not believe they will accept the January PCAT. At least, that's how it was during last year's admission cycle. Your best option is to call the admission's office and ask for Larry Shattuck. I'm certain he will know the answer.

Thank you Greekmeek. I was just confused by this statement online. -

"Note: It is highly recommended that applicants take the July or September PCAT exams in the year prior to which they are seeking entry. For first time test takers, January PCAT exams taken in the year in which an applicant seeks entry will not be accepted. Please check with Harcourt Assessment for more details regarding exam dates."

I wasn't sure if the first time test takers indicated students who have already taken it once and can take it since they are not first time takers.

I will email him about it to make sure though.

Has anyone heard anything from this school for those applying for fall 2012?

Got an email that they reviewed my pharmcas and are just waiting for my supplemental. Going to submit tonight...

I got an interview invitation this morning! 🙂 Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll be hearing soon as well.
