Hi,
Tell me one thing? If ur called for an interview in nov does that mean u have less chances? Is it like really late.I thought nov means you must be in the middle of the process with a good chance and more than half of the seats left.Correct me if I am wrong

hi, i also have my interview on 4 th nov at bu.
i don't think it makes any difference.....as someone had posted she got in even though hers was the last interview.

so just feel lucky and be positive.good luck.
boston admission process goes on till the very end .

are u from the bay area, neha?

Neha,Depends on which school you apply and what their selection method is for- upenn i am pasting one of my posts here FYI.
This year they have 450 applicants( I think only those they call for interviews) and 35 seats!thats what we were told. They said on an average they have an interview 2 times sometimes even 3 times(rare) within a week and the number is about 6-7 per interview .Their interviews go on till march. Also the selection process is such that those who are interviewed in sept and oct will be shortlisted till Ist week of nov and only 10 will be chosen.Similarly those who are interviewed in the next 2 months will know by jan 1 st week and again only 10 people wll be selected from that slot.So this goes on till march .So good thing is their seats dont fill up and even if you have an interview later on you have equal chances of being selected.

Hi GP,
Ur post is really informative. But as UPenn has rolling admissions and I think there last late is sometime next year so the number of applicants is going to increase. If its 450 already I think it will be around 600 later and the number of seats will still be 35.Around 20 to 30 students being interviewed for each seat.Hope I got that right. 😎

i feel east coast schools have rolling admissions, regardless of wht they tell us. upenn is slightly better.
onlythe schools which have a practical exam for everyone (tht is whr every1 gets the same interview date) like the west coast schools, dont have rolling admissions.
but this doesnt meantht peopl who apply late dont have a chance at all. if u have good scores and a good overall application, thn they will consider u regardless. but make sure u apply b4 jan atleast to have a good chance.
hope this helps

Neha, I agree with Ann 03 a lot of people who have interviews in november are still have fairly good chances.

Hi,
I think novemeber is the prime month for the interviews as all the californian school have thier interviews in Nov and east coast schools also have some interviews in Nov. So i think Nov is the prime time to make your dreams come true.
