Nova acceptance!!!!

I finally got accepted to nova from the waitlist. They called over the phone a couple days ago just to confirm i was still interested but that was it. Then they called this morning and said i was in! weird huh? I didnt think i was ever getting off that thing. Anyone else recently get accepted there?

Yeah, seeing how people with really good stats are ONLY waitlisted at some schools, it kinda makes me feel hopeless too...

Not necessarily. There are a lot of variables that go into it with two big ones being when the application was complete and how well they interviewed.

Now when they say that apply early & finish your application early what does that mean? i am submitting my application on Friday with 3 LORs but i wont have 2 LORs until the end of summer & my DAT score won't be in untile the first week of August....so basically it means that i finished my application in August eventhough i know that DAT score & LOR DO NOT hold back your application. But do you think d- school would even consider looking @ your application w/o DAT score? I mean how are they going to compare you with other students if you do not have DAT score?

So I am worried about that....even though I will submit my application EARLY (May 24th) ...my application is not really going to be considered until August...so basically I am LATE!!

The first week of August wont be early but it wont be too late. If you could get it done earlier that would be better but dont make your DAT score suffer by doing so. Just know that AADSAS is lame and your "complete" application with AADSAS could end up an incomplete one at the schools you applied to because AADSAS loses stuff (trust me on this one). Make sure you call them continuously to not lose any time with an incomplete application.

Yeah I was about to say but as long as we're on the subject I also got the call yesterday 1/9. I opted out right away. Feels bad because Akisha calls and sounds so happy to give the good news and you're just like 'eh. No thanks.'

haha exact same situation here. I got the call and tried to make it sound like I was excited. Its a good school, just wasn't a great school in my opinion. I will not be changing my mind either!

well I didn't say that exactly but I said 'oh I got accepted into my in-state programs so I'll be going to UCLA'
