Hello, I was accepted on Friday around 2PM via phone call. It was a little concerning to get the call on April fools day lol. I interviewed on Jan. 29th and was put on the "high hold" waitlist shortly after. Hang tight till April 15th! There should be more movement on the waitlist after that date!
Did you repeatedly show your interest ? Plus do you mind saying what are your stats ?

Well, as soon as I was placed on the waitlist, I wrote a letter of intend to Mrs. Suann. Then, I kept calling her every two weeks to show my interest. So, at this point of the game, I would suggest giving them a call every week!!!! since obviously some spots are becoming available. Try to really get a hold of them, don't just send emails and/or leave messages.
Were you actually able to talk to Mrs. Zarrett? Everytime I called her, she was unavailable so I always left messages and sent emails. Only time I could talk to someone in the office was when Mrs. Zarrett was out of town lol. Should I just keep calling and calling?

I got a call from Dr. Lippman this morning to offer me a spot!!! Don't lose hope if you're still on the waitlist, spots are opening up. Call Nova and let them know you are totally interested!!! Good luck everyone 🙂

Check out the facebook group. Nova has to have the hottest D1 chicks I have ever seen. Dean of admissions has great taste! lol
I'm not buying this myth about Nova and showing interest in the program. If a program wanted you to show interest in attending, why would they ignore all attempts at communication from applicants? I have tried to call and e-mail for 3 months since my interview and I just get transferred back and forth from voicemail to voicemail and all e-mail ignored. You would think they would respond..at least once?
People sometimes do have a hard time getting in contact with Nova but I say you try until you finally speak to someone. I'd suggest you speak to Dr. Lippman or Su-Ann ASAP because the April 15th deadline is approaching and you want to get your name out there. I was actually able to speak to both of them. They really do accept people who show continuous interest. That's what I did and thankfully I landed a spot. Good luck and keep calling!

Well, I don't know if I'm just very lucky, but every time I called Mrs. Zarrett she picked up the phone lol. I always called around 3:00 pm on Tuesday!!
I got the call from Dr. Lippman yesterday around late afternoon!!!
Also I remember when I contacted Ms. Su-Ann Zarrett sometime about 1-2 weeks ago, she mentioned about the possibility of having more movement on the waitlist as April 15 gets closer so to answer your question: Yes, I think so.

Ya I was recently accepted too, with average stats, so don't give up hope
There will be movement. Have you been showing interest in Nova by calling them? If not, you should definitely do that.

At this point I don't think it comes down to only your stats. Nova wants people who show interest and who really want it. If you landed an interview with them, your stats are decent enough. What separates people from getting accepted off the waitlist or not is the amount of interest you show. Just my insight from experience.
So, I talked to Ms. Zarrett of Friday about 4pm. She said there were "a couple more" deposits they were giving until the end of the day. She told me they would be calling people between between today and Wednesday. I've given up and put in my deposit to another school. That's the only update I have. Good luck.

hate to be the bearer of bad news. I talked to Zarrett today and she told me this is the first year the waitlist has barely ever moved. She said classes dont start till august so there still may be a chance.
That is total BS, At least 3 people that i know from my school got in off waitlist since February. Plus many people on SDN also got in.
Nova has a very stupid method. They interview every one throughout a certain period of time and then accept the highest GPA+ DAT stats first. Every one else is put on the waitlist.
I would argue that interview, personal statement, and the rest of application are all just formalities in the eyes of admission people.
With this method, they don't have to interview all the way until lets say April ( like many other private schools such as NYU, BU, Tufts, Case, etc).
So they have had plenty of movement for sure. It is just that there are an enormous number of students on the Wait-list.
I've heard of people getting accepted as late as in June and July. The chances are much slimmer but for those who have not received an acceptance elsewhere and are counting on Nova for a spot, I'd suggest you start preparing for next cycle just to be on the safe side.
