Hey guys,

I received an email from nova's financial office, but the thing is I did not mark anything on my application suggesting that I needed financial aid. Did the rest of you get this that do not need financial aid? I have not received their supplement yet, as I was wondering if you guys got it in the mail or through email? Thanks

I got this today as well. I'm uncertain as to whether or not I should fill out the FAFSA now or later. I didn't know you could fill out a FAFSA for a school you aren't accepted to yet, so that confuses me. In the other schools information that I have been sent, they say to get accepted first, then fill out FAFSA. Anyone filled one of these suckers out yet?

You don't need financial aid? I'm pretty sure they just assume everyone does because very few people have 190,000 laying around.

I do need it! i wish i didnt, but not through them, I'm going through a student plan through a bank.

Utes, did you receive nova's supplement application through the mail?

Yes I received the supplemental app and their school brochure in the mail, I've already sent that back to them. As of right now, they haven't cashed my check though, so they may not have received it.

I may call them later today to find out more about when and how to fill out the FAFSA stuff. If I do, I'll let you know what they say.

You should probably apply anyway.

You do not have to accept the financial aid that they offer if you have a better option.

I don't know anything about dental school financial aid, but I know that a lot of scholarships at my university look at the EFC on the FAFSA and will not consider people that have not filled out the FAFSA by the application deadline.

Hi Newhere, can you tell us what is this student plan that you are talking about? Is the interest lower than usual? Is it a 30 yr loan?

Thanks in advance & I hope you guys get accepted at NOVA.

I wouldn't fill out the FAFSA till you know for sure where you are going. It only gets sent to one school, so its better to wait. It doesn't take too long to process, so there is no harm in waiting.
