Nova Interview Dates

Is the date Nova assigns you for an interview any indication of how much they want you? I just received an invitation for January 31. That is quite some time away. I noticed that some people who submitted their applications much later than me received dates much sooner. Does that mean that Nova whats them as a first pick and will only accept me if they decline?

Hey, a late interview date is still an interview for a seat, not a waiting list or anything.. I posted in a previous post that I was interviewed last year at Nova in Feb and some of my class mates were taken right before the semester started.. So the date they assign you is for a seat.. AADSAS mailed it out Aug 27, 2007. I took the DAT on Aug 21.

I am also currious to know why they sent me the interview so early when there are people that applied before me that have january interviews. mind telling me your stats heatinghomer?

3.73 Overall GPA, 3.75 BCP and Sciences, 20/21/21 DAT, Florida Resident, 100 hours shadowing, less than 20 hours volunteering, have been living in USA for 3 years, Biology major minor in Film studies.

Nova is a private school so I would think that residency shouldn't really matter.

yup...residency doesn't matter. keep in mind that nova started handing out interviews back in july, and has filled up their interview spots through january.

my guess is that those who applied later but have super early interviews were assigned interview dates that were recently abandoned by other applicants, if that makes sense. for instance, a late september interview date, which is right around the corner, needs to be filled with applicants i would imagine, so if someone was to withdraw their application or reschedule their interview, they would assign that open spot to whoever they can or whoever’s next on the list.

don't stress about it...tons of people get in post dec. 1st. just make sure to shine and you'll be fine 👍

I have an interview at nova on January 9th. I was wondering if anyone knew how many people they interview and how many they accept. I heard that because they're a private school, they accept most of their interviews, though I'm not really sure. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

Sci GPA: 3.4

AA: 19
TS: 20
PAT: 21
