I just recieved an interview invite from Nova scheduled for Nov. 18. Considering that Nova is one of my back up schools, I want to push my interview date to after Dec. 1 if I get invited to the schools I am really hoping to attend ( UCSF and UOP). Does anyone know if this is even possible and if it is, is it a good idea? I live in the Bay Area and I don't want to take a trip to Florida if I don't have to.

hmmm.....well id say pushing back your interview dates is a bad idea in general....decreases your chance of getting in......its tough to call.....in my opinion getting into any school is great....so keep all of your options open......i know people who had 8 interviews last year and only got into 2 schools.....an interview by no means guarantees acceptance

it depends, if you have a killer DAT like 21+ and a good gpa, then it probably wouldn't be too too bad, considering it is a backup school for you. If you're in state for UCSF and UOP, and you have a good dat and good gpa, experience/shadowing, then you'll probably get into your state school. If you've gotten an interview this soon you're probably a strong candidate.

You can call and tell them you have an obligation that day that you forgot or something, but a post dec interview might decrease your chances, but i've heard that Nova doesn't fill their entire class on Dec 1st, so you'd probably still have a very good chance at being accepted on January 15th (2nd round of acceptances)

idk for sure, up to you

***can i ask, how long were you under review for until your interview invite??
Thanks

I don't understand why my application status doesn't show up on AADSAS. My mailing date was back in July 30.

Idk my mailing date was 8/6 and under review on 8/16
Did you fill out the secondary??

Yes, I did.

Were you able to see your application status on Nova's webstar? Few days after submitting the secondary, it disappeared.

Lol I still don't see the submitted app on webstar. I actually accidentally started a new one. I don't even see a submitted apps column

I also submitted 7/30 and I don't show anything on AADSAS. I submitted the secondary and got the email saying it was complete- but it still says in progress on webstar. I guess we shouldn't worry right?

I have no updates for Nova on aadsas. I just received the invite via email.

Yeah, i got the electronic copy but the PDF wouldn't open. Is that a problem?

Mine did not work either. There was a thread. I don't think anyone's secondary pdf worked. It is not needed, unless you wanted it for some reason. The important thing is submitting the website application.

Mine opened fine... I think the password was your last name or something?

It's nothing special... just pdf of your supp.

I guess we're in the same boat. I was impatient and called Nova regarding my application status. Apparently they're relocating their admissions office and the lady who answered my call got all cranky and stuff.
