Nova Interview Pictorial and Thoughts

Well I just had my first interview and I feel it was a really good experience overall at Nova Southeast in south Florida. The campus was great, the weather was even better (really low humidity compared to the average). Here are some pictures I took randomly:

http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/4764/dsc00011ip.jpg We had a couple D2's giving us our tour. It last about an hour and a half and they fed us lunch as well as answering tons of our questions.

Thoughts on Nova--I had a really good feeling about the campus as a whole and about their mission. Dr. Lippman was very comforting and reminded us that it is our duty to find a school that will "Make us happy for the next 4 years of dental school." All in all it was a fantastic experience, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!

what was your response to the "sitting on the plane with someone" question, if you dont mind me asking? 🙂

I said Abraham Lincoln, because my favorite part of U.S. history is the civil war and he is one of the most important and well spoken figures of that era. I said it would be interesting to see how such a great public speaker spoke to his friends on a personal level. I ended by saying, plus it would be a good choice because he has really long legs and most likely we would be bumped up to first class to give him some extra leg room!

Thanks Matt, I wish everybody would do this, Nova is definitely higher on my list now after seeing your pictures...Nice facilities are one of the most important things to me.

LOL nice. I think one of my favorite things about sitting in that waiting room before interviews was commiserating with other applicants that were going through the same insane process I was. One girl I was talking to retook the DAT on the same date as me and was having problems with all the same schools as I had. Made me feel good that I wasn't alone.
