Yeah mine is scheduled for the 16th, check out the other post for other people. There is no need for a new thread newb

wow i suck. i got invited to fill out Nova's sedondary but not an interview in sight from them...damn im dumb. at least i got the COMP interview...

Is that true? Some people are receiving interviews before getting LOR's in at NSU?

Are your interviews pre-secondary / pre LOR / both / or neither?

Thanks!

I got my interview a day after they received my secondary. I'm not sure if my LORs were there before then (I'm mailing out my DO LOR next week, so I know they don't have that one). I hope that helps. Goodluck.

the interview was pre-LOR... and i started this thread not to brag but because i was a little confused

What Are The Scores(gpa & McAt) That You Guys Got To Have Such Fast Interviews?

Good luck with your Nova interviews. I interviewed at comp and azcom, but Nova is the best by far (biased opinion of course) The facilities, faculty, location etc.. will blow you away. I'm as happy as a clam 😀

I hear you have alligators roaming around in campus fountains... j/k I love Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and I hear Nova's campus is awesome.

On a serious note, how is it wearing a shirt and tie in HUMID SOUTHERN FLORIDA? When I visit Miami, I wear nothing more than linen pants and a tank top.

Thanks!

I live about five min. from Nova campus, and if your coming with a suit ,You better stay in A/C as much as possible because you will sweat to death, also dont forget to bring an umbrella because it rains a million time in one day for about two min. each time. 😀
Where are you guys staying at , if i am avaible and you guys need ride from the airport to the campus(about 15 min. apart), write me an e-mail at [email protected] and i'll take you.

I was actually wondering about the shirt and tie uniform that they require during the semester.

NSU is offering interviews before applications are complete this year; they have made a lot of changes to their application process in an effort to streamline the process and make things run more smoothly and quickly. I think you have to have your secondaries in, but you dont have to have all of your info in (like if you are taking the August MCAT, you could still get an interview before your score is reported) to be offered an interview. If you have an interview before your file is complete, then your file will be reviewed once it is complete as far as decisions go, but at least you wont be interviewing late in the game, at least this is how I understood the changes to be.

Also, the dresscode allows for scrubs as well so you dont have to wear a shirt and tie, although a lot of the guys do it a lot anyhow.

Interesting enough, that is the one that I know to be true. We were worried that the change might affect students who take the August MCAT but we were assured that it wouldnt. We were told that as long as the information received warrants an interview, the student will be offered an interview even if their MCAT scores are not in yet. Once the MCAT score is received (and the file is complete), then the applicant will be reviewed as far as decisions go.

so I think i mentioned it before...but NSU did not grant me an interview....whatever. so on their secondary i have to turn in a letter from a liberal arts professor...is a class about health and medical care considered to be liberal arts? i know its not considered to be a "science" course....so then it must be liberal arts right?

We actually get to wear scrubs everyday so it's not bad at all....plus you spend all your time in the HPD building so your in airconditioning. Someone said something about an awesome campus......that is very true, the buildings are amazing and there are ponds and palm trees everywhere.
