NOVA lor dilemma

Here's my situation...My family doc graduated from NOVA and has offered to write me a LOR. But I have a friend whose a DO (DMU grad) that I've known for years and plans on writing me a great letter that I can count on. Does a letter from alumni carry more weight at NOVA? I'm sure my family doc will write an excellent letter because he offered without me asking, but it probably won't be as stellar as my friends. What do you guys think? 😕

I didn't know you could send multiple letters. How much weight do the adcoms place on letters?
