I was just wondering if anyone who has interviewed for the program could give me some feedback.

I know that not all that many people apply to the program, so the chances of getting some feedback about this probably aren't good but its worth a shot...

Thanks for any advice!

Nobody has heard anything?

Hey guys,

So I recently had the interview and I think it went pretty well. The interviewers were extremely nice and accommodating. The process consists of a tour of the campus, followed by a meeting with a financial advisor in regard to the cost of the program etc, then comes the interview. Questions were straight forward and directed toward my educational history...
They are expecting to only accept 8 (thats right EIGHT) students for the dental track this year. I think about 300 will interview...
PM me if anyone has any questions. Also, I would be interested to speak with some other people who have interviewed - please PM me if you have...

Good luck!

eight students? that is just ridiculous.

Can I ask you guys why you want to go to NOVA's Biomedical science program?

Nova has become increasingly difficult to get into. If you cant get directly into their dental school, or into any dental school for that matter, you can take this program. If you maintain an 80% average in the first year of the program you will be guaranteed a spot in the next year's dental class. However, it is by no means easy to maintain that average so there is somewhat of a risk involved. Additionally, if you get As in any of the classes you will not have to repeat those classes in the dental program. Lastly, the biomed program will give you a leg up when you do get into dental school and will make the first few years a bit easier and perhaps will allow you to do well enough to specialize...

Those are my reasons...

Do you happen to know generally how many of those that make into the program actually survive with 80%? I know they have the same program for the D.O.'s there as well. Is it the same classes as those students?

11 kids were accepted last year and 3 are already out...

I believe it essentially the same as the DO classes with a few minor differences...
