Nova masters program

Has anyone on here completed the masters in health sciences at NOVA and subsequently applied to their d.o or any other d.o program and got accepted? I am just looking at the curriculum and their masters program doesn't seem to be as demanding as other programs. I just want to see if completing their masters program will provide a competitive edge application wise. Same questions apply for the barry masters program. anyone have any info on these? thanks in advance.

Nova has already conducted most if not all of their interview dates to my knowledge for their MBS class which is traditionally of 8-10 students composed of both pre-med and pre-dents.

Barry has 2 different programs for their MBS program: the 1 year accelerated track and the 2 year track. For all essential purposes to be a competitive applicant you need to be in the 1 year track which will be composed of 44 students. They do not have their own medical or dental school and has unofficial linkages to the Caribbean, Nova and LECOM-B. The MBS faculty is composed of mostly their own podiatry faculty and some associate professors from Nova who teach at Barry as a side job.

I know for Nova's MBS program, the students take their classes with the med students. The med students have a heavier load than the MBS students. The MBS students need to get an 80 or above in each class, and they are pretty much guaranteed acceptance to the follow years DO class (you still apply, but I think the interview is pretty much a formality). If you score a 90 or above you don't have to retake that class as a M1. A lot of the former MBS students do paid tutoring/review sessions for the other M1's since they have already been through the class.

I don't know anything about Barry's program, but they don't have a medical school so obviously there isn't the guaranteed admission benefit if you score at a certain level. Also I am not sure if the master's in health sciences you speak of is the same as the MBS program. http://medsciences.nova.edu/aboutbs.html
