Nova or IU?

After 3 years, I was finally accepted to a few schools. I've narrowed down to both Nova and my state school, IU. I'm really having a hard time deciding on which school to go to. Tuition for Nova is about $43,000 and IU's is about $24,000, since I am in-state. Lets say it's a $20,000 difference. I'm assuming the two schools will have similar living costs and the usual instrument expenses. My question is simple, if you were me, where would you go and why? Is Nova worth the extra $20,000 a year or should I just stick around and go to IU? I truly appreciate the feedback.
 
I didn't visit Nova, but I visited IU as an out-of-stater. Students (in-staters) there were pretty excited about IU and its program but I was out-of-state so it's VERY expensive for me but for you it's OK... I'd go to in-state school.
 
I've visited both schools and they both had their pros and cons. The cost of living in Ft Lauderdale is significantly higher than Indianapolis. It all depends where you want to be in 100k more debt if you attend Nova or take advantage of your in-state tuition. Whatever you choose will significantly impact your future and when/where you'll practice, etc. You have to weigh the pros and cons you have personally to each school, being close to family, etc.

On a side note, I was at Creighton for an interview, and a guy at the Harley shop was telling me how his friend was a dentist and I asked where did he go, he stated Indiana. Indiana definately has a strong name in the midwest.

say what?!?! IU def has a strong name in the midwest b/c of some guy at a harley shop? care to explain?
 
I just was trying to emphasize that individuals in the midwest do reconize Indiana!
 
Or, in other words, Indiana produces successful dentists that do, in fact, open practices elsewhere. 😎 I know a lot of people bash Indiana. I really like Indianapolis, eventhough I'm not a Colts fan.

Which school did you end up attending? I am in the same position (but the schools are the same price for me!) and I can't decide between the two!
 
Damnnnn when you think about it, the tuition for NOVA went from $43,000 to $57,000. (considering out of state prices) 🤔

I'm fairly certain Nova's tuition is $62,850 for out of state, unless you've received a scholarship.
