Nova has had my entire application, supplemental and all now for over three weeks. Ive heard that they have already given out a lot of interviews. Do I still have a shot at getting in if I havent heard anything from them?

SciGPA 3.73
GPA 3.83

AA 17
TS 19
PAT 19

Do I still have a chance of getting an interview this late in the game? I know a lot of people have been given interviews already to this school. Thanks, I was just wondering!

Anything is possible! I wouldn't get worried just yet. It's still pretty early in the game at most schools since many only fill half their class December 1. Also, I think ADCOMS are bombarded with lots of applications right now... it seems to be the next popular time frame to submit. Remember, although we all want to get in somewhere December 1, many schools interview through February/March (not for alternate seats). Also, just thought you would like to know that our DAT and GPA are pretty similar and I have an interview at Nova. Things are looking up in my opinion! Good luck to you.

NOva interviuews a lot of people...you jsut didn't get into the early round of interviews...but there are lots of seats at the school and you never know who they will call or mail out invites to next. It's luck of the draw....you can't read minds.

Since I interviewed in the beginning of sept. and they are a private school who fill sup fast, I would say that you shouldn't hold your breath for Nova.

Oh and you have a AA of 17, sorry bro I would retake the DAT. No shot at Nova at all!

I don't like to be negative, but your chances are slim to none. Dr. Lippman looks really highly on your AA score, and 3 weeks ago they already had most of their interviews practically already out. You never know though...

are you even a dental student there? or just undergrad

Well my dat score does not tell the tale of who I am as a student. I have interviews already at other schools and was just hoping to hear back from nova because I have family there but maybe youre right and I dont have a shot but im going to try anyway, plus a girl just responded and said that she got an interview with similar scores as me so...

also, last year the average DAT was a 19 and a PAT was lower than a 19 for over 100 applicants.

dude don't listen to these people they know nothing about nova. nova is all about the money, the dont really care about stats as long as your are decent (which they are). they will interview you late up until next spring so dont worry about it yet. I know so many people in HPD with stats so low there you wouldn't believe it, thats why i'm not going there.

"I am sure that someone with a 17 could succeed in dental school, the problem is that they rarely get the chance, DAT is the initial mode of separation!"

is 22/22/20 not good enough for that school?

Your an idiot. Every school will try to get the most qualified students that they can. It's not like you can offer to pay more tuition and then they will accept you.
