I'd say 50% are good and 50% are less than mediocre. You learn who gives sound advice and steer clear of the rest. I'd imagine that the 50/50 number is similar to what you will find at all dental schools. Some professors are there because they love to teach and others just like to toot their own horn and love a captive audience.
