Go with U Michigan. USC is ridiculously expensive. Not that U Mich is cheap but cheaper. Also Mich is very academically oriented so you will get all the opportunities education wise. True the weather will suck b@!!s, but its only 4 years and you will walk out with a degree from a very respected institution for a lesser amount of money.
If you want to live in Cali I would definitely got to USC. The Cali dental boards are harder to pass if you are out of state and more job connections available. But if you want midwest or East, Michigan probably has a better national rep.

They have football team and SUN.
They also got a great clinical reputation.
Michigan isnt that cheap neither.
It is cold. And compare with LA, it is far away, but not as much traffic.
Come to USC cos I know a lot more cool dental students in LA than in Ann Arbor =)
