I just graduated from med school in May and am now in my intern year. Unfortunately, among all the commotion, I have not attended to my loans. So can anyone tell me where to start w/ my 200K debt? What are the options? Anyone info/sources would be appreciated.

I would be happy to help!
First thing is first - figure out when payments will be due and determine what the amount of the payments will be. Your lender will help you determine that. If you haven't consolidated in the past, be sure to request the EXTENDED term (from 10 to 25 years) - this will allow you a longer amount of time to repay your loan but also drastically drop your payment. If you aren't able to make payments at this time - be sure to talk to your lender about applying for ECONOMIC HARDSHIP DEFERMENT - you should have no problem being approved with 200K in student loans!

Good luck- the process may seem confusing, but with a phone call to your lender you should be able to get a lot accomplished!
