Surely somebody has an idear
Most of the ones I know personally that don't have their own thing going are employees. I've heard of one NP locally that is a member of an ED group.... Not an employee. You should ask in the NP forums at allnurses. There are some folks there that run their own businesses. They are the kind of people that would be out looking out for their best interests, and in the process, end up in situations that are unique like that.

Well, I had a meeting with a psych NP and she said that she knows another psych NP in our non-independent practice state that has opened her own practice and employs various other NPs. Not sure if that's exactly what you mean though.
