Is there a way to look at NRMP program codes with out logging into the NRMP R3 system?

AMA-FRIEDA has most of the NRMP program codes. Remember to look for a 9-character code:

first four digits = institution
next three digits = department
letter A, C or P = advanced, categorical or preliminary
next digit = track number (usually 0, if a program has more than one track, e.g. prelim programs based at different hospitals, this number will be different for the different tracks)

So, since I'm applying in anesthesia, I automatically know that all of the advanced programs I apply to will have the following NRMP code:

xxxx040A0, where xxxx is the code of the program. If the program you are looking for doesn't have its NRMP code in FRIEDA, sometimes you can look up a different program at the same institution and figure it out. (Don't rely solely on this for ranking, though.)

Thanks a lot. You have been most helpful.
