I'm a USMD 3rd year interested in neurosurg.

Top 20 preclinical class rank
Above average number of extracurriculars/research/presentations in a different surgical subspecialty
Have no desire for bigger academic programs, more for the community setting. Don't care about location, just want to do NS. I plan to apply to all the programs, so I wanted to know what you guys think based on your experiences if it's still reasonable to apply given the lower board score? Assuming I keep up with relevant research and solid LOR's
