NSU Experience Day for December 9th (Check-In)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
As the title suggests, all of those with Experience Day invites to Nova Southeastern on December 9th, please reply. This is to test for something.

If you got an invite, just for the ppl that reply: congratulations--you got into nova! Chill out and have a good time at the experience day.

I got an invite to Experience Day next week! What are you working on?

Don't get my hopes up. I'm really nervous.

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but there have been people who went to experience day and got alternate status. Someone even went to experience day, got alternate, and then got asked to do a traditional interview.

I hope you're right munchyman. Thank you for the replies but please I'm just doing a little experiment. So please if you read this and you have been invited to Experience Day on the 9th reply. Cmed I'll see you there!

So how did it go for you guys? I did the experience program and got in last year, currently an M1.

I thought it went awesome. The school was amazing. I just don't see all of us getting in. There were 31 of us so someone is gonna get waitlisted for sure. I'm hoping I'm one of the ones that get in.

Keep in mind our class size for this year was around 230-250.

But yeah, some people do get waitlisted from the program.

Last year 100% of people got in. It was Nova's ploy to cherrypick high MCAT or GPA'd applicants and try to sell the individual on the school instead of vice versa.

Edit: How could they possibly waitlist someone? Has it changed so that you now must complete a personal interview? I mean, there is no evaluation, and while there are administrators creeping around, there was no possible way the school could keep track of everyone to make a fair decision about what warrants an "alternate list". I'd be pissed to fly all the way out, and end up on a waitlist because I wasn't given a fair shot to be evaluated.

Do you think a 24 and a 3.9 are that particularly outstanding? I think they must have changed it up this year or something, because people with higher stats have gotten traditional interviews as opposed to experience days. I don't know if it's more confusing than misleading on Nova's part, but it is a little unfair.

There is no fair or unfair in the application process, there is only luck. Now you know.
Haha I know. I got in a few months ago, but I did get waitlisted everywhere the last season I applied, so I definitely know the feeling.

I learned it first hand as well. My state school rejected me this year pre interview, saying Im not ready, although last year I was given an interview...How is it possible to be LESS ready the second year around?
