I was invited for an interiveiw on August 1st and they said my interview packet was sent out on August 5th and I still haven't received it yet. Has anyone else received it yet and if so what are the recommended hotels to stay at. Also if you don't have your letters of recomendation by your interview will they not accept you. My advisor should have them in by then but you never know.

Don't worry about the reference letter thing. They will just hold your file till they get it after your interview. Then they will evaluate your application. Of course it is better to have the reference letter. That way they will have some more idea of who you are and what you can do.

I don't remember the hotel name that they recommended. I think it was in the interview comments section of NSUCOM feedback. Or I am sure someone will let you know. That place was okay. It was not amazing... they had a shuttle to the airport and back and also to the school. So that saves you much money. Just call NSU and ask them which hotel they have a deal with. It doesn't have to be NSUCOM.. just call the school itself.

I had some issues with the mail system last year. I don't know if it is a USPS issue, or an internal issue between the desk and the mail box, but several things didn't make it to me last year (including interview packet).

I found a good hotel list at this site: NSU Hotel List You will probably want to call to see if they offer a shuttle service. I am pretty sure that the Holiday Inn in Plantation offers shuttles for anyone staying there.
