So I'm stuck between these two schools. I got accepted into these schools for the incoming Fall 2026 year. With that being said, I was wondering if I could discuss which school would be the best for me. I'm a little bit concerned about alignment because I'm very visibly brown. I heard that Kirksville is not a good place for a POC (even though there is a considerable chunk of the student body that seems to be South Asian with some Eastern Asian students). I'm mixed, but I'm just concerned because I'm bringing family members with me when I go to school (family members are old). I don't want them to be discriminated against because of the way they look or are perceived.
ATSU-KCOM is pretty good on stats. It's a good school. Good matches. Good rotations. NSU-KPCOM... I have been hearing mixed things when it comes to the curriculum. Management, from what I have heard, seems like a headache (super unaccommodating). But, Tampa Bay is pretty diverse. My family's racial makeup would not be an issue. I don't agree with both of the states' politics, but I try to keep my head down.
Ultimately, I want to go to a school where I could thrive and GROW. I'm just wondering if I can get that given the makeup of these schools. Advice?
