you can just send in letters of rec. I know thats true at least when you have a committee or advisor letter

i found this buried among all the pdfs they have on their secondary application page:
Print out the Evaluation Forms Instructions and Forms that are
provided on the COM Applicant Web Site.
The evaluation forms are provided for the convenience of the
evaluators. Evaluators may use either form or their letterhead
for letters of evaluations. Please have your evaluators return
their appraisals to the address at the bottom of the evaluation
form.
