I just got an email from NSUCOM admission committee, inviting me for a interview on the week of 9/11 to 9/15. I chose 9/15 has the interview date. 😀
Anyone else ???

wow, when did you submit your stuff to them, and do you mind pm-ing me your status?
NUSCOM is my #1 choice

I JUST got my letter of rec. from a DO even thought my application has been done there for the past 3 weeks...so I hope when they get that I might be offered an interview! 😕

Make sure to add your interview invite to the wall of fame!
 
NSUCOM interviews potential applicant before the letters arrived, so I was granted an interview. Keeping in mind, I have 3.83 Scinece GPA and 3.77 cummulative GPA, and 28N MCAT score. 😀
 
All my stuff must have gotten to them now. they sent me an email saying they recieved my letters of recommendaton. I hope i hear from them soon!!!

MEDICINEMAN20....how long did they take to review your file b4 they invited you to an interview???

Also, what state are you from?
 
Nobody should be worrying too much about getting an interview right now. I got an interview from NOVA after sending my secondary in during February. My stats are nothing outstanding, average if not below. I really would have liked to go to NOVA for school; however, I would have had a tough time not spending all my time outside and wakeboarding...coming from the upper-midwest...going to school there would have felt too much like a vacation 😉

good to hear that theres plenty of interview spots. I am complete at NOVA, but they have not updated their status page yet.
 
Bumping this up...anyone else heard from NOVA about an interview?
 
I hope i hear from them this week about an interview!!! im just dying when i check my email. Apparently the recieved all my things as of Aug 9th.

I CALLED NSU this morning b/c everytime I check that WEBSTAR thing its says outstanding items-application not complete so I called to fin out whats up and she said they recieved everything my application was still being processed and once that is iver they will decide on calling for interviews which start on Monday Sept 11th she mentioned.
 
I am still waiting for a secondary from them! How lond did it take you guys to recieve the seconday after AACOMAS mailed out the application?
 
My AACOMAS got mailed on Sat 7/22 and I got NSU's secondary on Monday 7/31.

The quickest DO secondary I got were from AZCOM/CCOM in just under a week on Fri-7/28]

I got DMU Interview on the same day, so I rescheduled my interview for October. DMU is my number one choice
 
Hi everyone, I also received an interview at NSU and I have the choice of going on 9/11 or 9/15. The 11th is a Monday and the 15th is a Friday. Does anyone have any idea if it's better to go earlier in the week or later. (I expect to hear some silly comments fo sho' (sorry just saw the a rerun of the 40 yr. old virgin this past weekend), but if anyone has any serious thoughts or past experience with this please let me know). This is my FIRST interview in 3 years of applications so I'm ecstatic!

i just got the nova invite today. i chose the 15th so if anyone else is going that day let me know.

I also received the invite, although I haven't decided which day to go yet. I'm leaning more towards 9/15, because I could schedule my interview at Touro-Nevada for 9/18. But then I'll have to miss two days worth of classes, where I have four classes for each of those days. I'm thinking that is the easiest path. Hopefully all of my professors will be understanding, and that I can keep up in class.
 
so after some quick thoughts I scheduled mine for the 15th as well. This will be my first interview so I could probably use the few extra days for preparation. miasapearl, congrats on your multiple interview invites... I am hoping that I will be in your shoes when my LOR's are sent out. Let's hope!

I heart nova as well...and this is after a week of classes 🙂
 
For nova, do they email/mail you a rejection letter if they don't decide to interview? Or do they hold off a really long time as possible and send you a rejection at the end of fall 2007 admissions cycle (like may 2007)? They received all my stuff (including secondary) appx. a week ago and I am getting worried after hearing those that recieved interviews.... :-(

I wouldnt know..i was never rejected 😉

but out of all of the schools i got rejected from..id say i only got a letter of rejection 33% of the time
 
I just received an interview invite to NOVA. I'm going to try to make it on the 11th.
 
vmgopal, sorry it took a long time to reply

I ended up going to CCOM...being from the Midwest, I feared that NOVA would feel too much like a vacation and I wouldn't study as much as I should

shttthttle is SHoT aT THe TiTLE with all the vowels removed except for the last e...there is a long story behind the name
 
Just got the invite for 9/18 or 9/22. My fiancee and I will both be interviewing on the 18th!
 
so all those of you who got interviews I got a question~!

My WEBSTAR application status went from Incomplete to Please contact admissions office today. Yesterday i spoke with someone and she said my file was complete. but the university was still reviewing my file materials.

anyone else went to please contact admissions office?
those of u that got interviews what did ur status on WEBSTAR.NOVA.EDU say?

Mine still says please contact admissions. It doesn't really mean anything. I called them yesterday and they said that they will contact you if something is wrong, otherwise, webstar's status page isn't accurate.

at least it doesnt mean im rejected!!!...lol just kiding!

Maybe I will get the good news of an interview soon, since mine changed to Please contact admissions office. I guess an email invite seeing others reponses in this topic
 
i remember when i applied..i paid very little attention to the webstar page...its not very informative..Just be patient..and wait for the email invite for interview ...i know iknow easier said than done

Has anyone gotten an email confirmation yet of their requested interview date? I want to book my ticket ASAP, but my hands are tied until they approve my selected date. Thanks.

nick, I'm in the same boat. I wanted to buy a ticket yesterday. The tickets were going for only $100.

Yeah, every Dallas-Ft Lauderdale flight I see right now is around $114.

I got the e-mail invite and chose 9-11. (Wow now that I write that down I dont think that is the best date to choose) Anyway..In the e-mail I asked her to please respond if the date was okay and she wrote me back an hour later saying " Yes, its fine."...I wouldnt worry if I were you...as long as you respond with a date it should be fine.... If you are worried then just call to confirm.
 
For those of you who got interviews so far...what were ur stats if u don't mind...mine were 23/3.5 overall/3.2 sci/3.9non sci. I haven't recieved an interview yet and i was in the 7/22 mailing but all my stuff reached there last week.

also Drmikeylu...if u dont mind can u share your stats or direct me to a mdappls profile since you are a M1 there
 
hey vmgopal, did your webstar say decision pending before it said Please Contact Admissions Office. Because mine went from Incomplete to Decision Pending and its been like that for the past 2 days. My secondary was submitted on 08/01/2006 and my committe letter was sent yesterday. I'm pretty sure they have my letter by now since I attend Nova's undergrad.
 
lalu...nope mine just went from incomplete to please contact admissions office and is still like that...i called NSU today and she said there is no problem it just means that they are or will be reviewing ur file
 
I think you'll be fine ...My stats were comparable to yours...slightly higher mcat..slightly lower gpa..and you applied earlier than me...i interviewed in mid november...just rock the interview..and you'll be fine..check out the interview feedback section of SDN it was dead on when i interviewed
 
Hey guys...Just giving you a heads up...I received my interview packet in the mail yesterday so everyone who chose a 9/11 - 9/15 interview should be expecting theirs. Thats all
