I'm currently studying for my MCAT, and in my review book it says that "the building block of DNA is the deoxyribonucleoSIDE 5' triphosphate (dNTP, where N respresents one of the four basic nucleosides)"
I was under the impression that the building blocks of DNA were nucleoTIDES, since they have the phosphate group, whereas nucleosides don't.
Later on in the paragraph, it goes on to say "..the final component of the deoxyribonucleoTIDE building block of DNA is a phosphate group"
Am I misunderstanding something, or is this an error in my book? 😕
