Anyone visit NUI-Galway; what did you think? I hear it is quite beautiful on the west side of Ireland but a bit remote. What would rotations be like at hospitals over there on the west side if I attended NUI?

NUIG is a lovely place, and can be beautiful. Ireland's experiencing a very weird patch at the minute where it's rained every day for like 4+ weeks straight (very strange, this hasn't really ever happened before) and is quite cold. Normally, the west coast of Ireland sees a lot more rain than the eastern side.

Medically, NUIG would be the same as the rest of the schools...there isn't that much differentiating the schools in terms of education. I haven't ever been placed in a Galway hospital, but I'm sure they're fine...and probably somewhat nicer than the Dublin ones, as the Dublin hospitals are the busiest in the country.
