When I was reading the first link, I said to myself "gotta be a small hospital"

Then, the article in the third link confirmed that fact...(and a gov't hospital to boot: double whammy)

Shocking...

Anyway, the articles all stated that the complaint was "anonymous"

Guess not...

They should have used a public computer, not a work one or their own, to draft the letter...

I've worked in small town hopitals and have seen their common ways of operating:

1) Steeped in tradition
2) Several docs on the hospital board (whose memberships have gained them ongoing, personal business success)
3) Creating "black hole" files for incident reports and (internal) complaints regarding physicians...
4) Docs can behave as they wish, period.

I'll stick w/ big city hospitals...
