Nursing Clinicals = Clinical Experience?

I am a BSN student applying this coming cycle. I was wandering if I can count nursing clinicals towards clinical experience? It is not my only clinical experience, but it is quite a bit of hours that I would like to use if possible. Would this be looked down upon at all?

Ugh I would be sooooo pissed if that didn't count. Its probably better than 99% of the experiences most pre-meds have.

Agreed. Putting in foleys, lines, taking histories and doing EKG's > wheeling pts down to CT and watching nurses do things while doctors chart. The thing you should be most focused on is being able to concisely explain why you want to practice medicine instead of do nursing. Especially since there will be practically zero time between nursing school and med school for you. Best of luck!

I would definitely think that nursing clinical experience can count as general clinical exp for a med school app. In fact, it's probably better experience than most other gigs.
