Nursing student needs to interview a P4 or current pharmacist

Hi-
I'm working on my MSN and I need to ask a P4 or a pharmacist the following questions. Does anyone have time to fill this out for me? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks so much 🙂


In relation to quality patient care and safety:
- What do you think nurses should do more of?
- What do you think nurses should do less of?
-What do you think nurses should continue doing?

In relation to patient care teamwork:
-What do you think nurses should do more of?
- What do you think nurses should do less of?
- What do you think nurses should continue doing?

Our program is focuses of promoting safety, reducing errors and improving quality in the direct care of patients with complex health issues. How would you like nurses with this focus to work with you to provide better patient care?

im apologizing on behalf of the forum , they're probably gonna bitch about nurses attitudes.

my 2c from working in a hospital:

be more lenient with the pharmacy , they are probably just as understaffed as you are. worst thing nurses do in regards to teamwork ive experienced is constantly yelling at us for not having the meds on time. we honestly try our best just like you do. if everyone is a little more accepting, teamwork is greatly enhanced.

not a p4 or pharmacist, just thought i'd pass this along.

Didn't bother to check the fridge / Pyxis / patient bins.

Also, the know-it-all attitude. "Really, I shouldn't shake "vigorously" Humulin/Novolin N?"

Should have been more courteous on the phone.

Thanks for the reply. I feel the same way, we are all very busy and stretched! That's why I understood when the pharmacist on my floor told me she didn't have time to answer these questions. I wouldn't have time while I was working either 🙂
