Is it possible for an an applicant with an MSN switch to a career as a physician?

yes. you just have to do the pre-recs, do well on the MCAT and address clearly in your personal statement why you'd like to switch careers.

Will ADCOMS look unfavorably towards this transition. Does anybody know any personal examples of people who have done this?

I know quite a few premed nurses and former nurses who are physicians. I've even been encouraged to take that route since you get so much more clinical experience and you know that healthcare is what you want to do. Just do well in your premed courses and I think you'd be an extremely strong applicant.
