I've had my Massachusetts pharmacist license since August and was planning on reciprocating my license to New York next year. The reciprocating requirements are 2080 hours of work with no more than 40 hours per week. I am currently working overnights at CVS where I work 74 hours one week and then get the next week off. Does it mean I am screwed when I try to reciprocate next year?

"Applicant's employer must provide written verification of one full year of applicant's licensed practice as a pharmacist"

Per CVS payroll policy, you are being paid for 37 hours per week. As long as the letter reflects that, I imagine it should be fine. Further, you are only working 37 hours per 7 day period - it just happens to not coincide with the weeks as laid out on some calendars. My interpretation of the NY Board's intent is to prevent someone from living in a pharmacy for 3 months, claiming that they were working 24 hours a day, and claim to have the requisite experience to avoid the wet lab.
