Hi lena1983,
If you've already applied to NYU, you should have received an E-mail requesting for further documents. In that E-mail they say:
"
Dear Applicant,

Thank you for applying to our DDS Advanced Placement Program at NYU College of Dentistry.
.
.
.
Official TOEFL score report has to be sent directly to us from ETS. You must have a minimum score of 90; otherwise your application will not be reviewed.
"

So, I think you fulfill the requirement. Anyway that's a good idea to retake TOEFL and update your status.
I hope this could be of help to you.

Since you already called and they say no then I guess u got the answer.
May be ur friend updated his grade by sending it, but may be they ignored it. And don't forget that each cycle admission requirement and role are different from year to year

Good luck

I recieved an e mail stating that the minimum score is 95🙁 not 90,that is way Iam agonna retake it.

Really?!!
This is the one I received:

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for applying to our DDS Advanced Placement Program at NYU College of Dentistry.

We have received your electronic application from CAAPID, and as of this moment, we are still in the process of updating all materials that has been mailed to us directly. You have not heard from us as of yet, but we have been receiving large quantities of mail and are trying to email each one of you as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please make sure that you have submitted the following documents, if not, please send them as soon as possible:

· Notarized copy of your Dental Diploma (if this document is not in English, please submit a notarized copy of an official translation of it).

· Notarized copy of your Dental Grades (if this document is not in English, please submit a notarized copy of an official translation of it).

· Official NDB1 score report has to be sent directly to us from the ADA

· Official TOEFL score report has to be sent directly to us from ETS. You must have a minimum score of 90; otherwise your application will not be reviewed.

· Photo (you can also email us your photo via email in a .jpeg format); please notify us if you do so.

· $100 non-refundable application fee, made payable to NYU College of Dentistry. It can be either a personal check or money order.

· If you are in a Graduate Program in the US or Canada, please request that an Official Transcript be mailed to us. This item is optional.

Once again, if you have submitted all these documents, your application will be completed and you will receive an email. If you have not yet submitted these documents or are missing some items, please send them as soon as possible, as we will only review applications that are complete. An email will be sent to you about any required document that is missing.

If you are a re-applicant, please let us know so that we can retrieve your documents from last year’s application.

I thank you for your patience.

Mara L. Zelaya
Admission Officer

Anyway, since you've applied to the program, you do not lose anything if retake TOEFL and keep faith. This is all you can do now.
Did you talk to Mara L. Zelaya?

no I did not talk to her, do you know her number? I only have this information Contact Information
Eugenia Mejia

New York University

College of Dentistry

Student Affairs and Admissions

345 E. 24

th Street, 10th Floor

New York, NY 10010

Telephone: 212-998-9818

so i called this number and they told me that they are not recieving the new scores after the deadlines,do you have different numder ?and I think you are the only applicante who receive such e mail with 90 score!!!!!!

I have the same address and phone number, besides I've not called them before. I just have an e-mail address from Mara L.Zelaya: Mara L. Zelaya <[email protected]>;

I think there are different admission officers there, and every application is assigned to one of them.
I am sure that I read somewhere in studentdoctor about people receiving 90 as the requirement.

I think that's better you call them back and ask them that you wanna talk to Officer in charge of Advanced Standing program. Explain him/her about your status and 90/95.

but it is clear from NYU website and from CAAPID website that the minimum score for admission is 95 for this year.

Dear CAD83,
Yes, you are right, the websites say 95! But it was the e-mail I received from them. I dont know why it says 90!
Anyway, if I were "lena1983" , I:
1. Call them back for more information.
2. Keep going with my TOEFL preparation, just in case if any interview is scheduled so I could have the new score in the interview date.

As "lena1983" has applied and payed the fee, so there is nothing to lose. But of course he should be cautious and keep going with other options too.

I agree with u, it could be a mistake in the email, because as u know they use sometime templates so they might be forgot to adjust this one

hey friends,
How long it will take to get toefl result after giving the toefl exam?

Thank you for letting us know about the exact requirement. Wish you the best🙂

HI!!!
I have a question!
-Do we have to mail the documents to NYU only after we get an email from them or should we post the documents beforehand as the deadline of 1st December is approaching?

-1st December deadline is only for CAAPID application submission or is it for the documents to NYU as well

-when i mail my documents to NYU do i have to put it in another envelope stating my name on it along with CAAPID id or not?

-Can the money order/personal cheque be sent separate from the documents??

PLease help me out!!!! Its urgent!!

Mail everything before hand........why wait.....
Put all the documents in a larger envelope along with the money order also keep a cover letter stating wat all docs u have sent wit ur caapid no and dentpin no. and mail it to nyu

Thank you impactedmind!!!
i am currently not in USA... so my money order/cheque will be mailed by someone else who is currently in USA... so do i need to put that also in another envelope with my details on it or can the details be written behind the cheque... as it will be mailed separate from the other documents
