I am SO excited! I finally got my first interview and it is to one of my top choice schools - NYCOM!! I was honestly ready to give up and then I received the letter that pulled my spirits right up! I was wondering if anyone can give me some feedback about their interview experience, ie. what questions they asked, how long it took, the overall mood, etc... I wish everyone the best of luck and I know we will ALL make great docs someday! I appreciate any help! Best wishes. 🙂

Congratulations 🙂. I applied to NYCOM as well (file complete it late Dec.), but no interview yet. May I ask your stats (mcat/gpa)?

Kind Regards,
Gray

I interviewed there three weeks ago and was accepted this week. Check the interview feed back section; you'll find the answers to your questions in there. Interview was stress free for me. Nice guy, just went over my application and why I want to be a doc, study habits, etc. Don't worry!

It's a laid back interview. Interviewed 1/19 and found out today. Just know the basics, why you want to be a doctor, why DO, etc. Only tricky thing I was asked was 'would you rather provide great hc to a small group of ppl or mediocre hc to a large grp of ppl.' He also asked where i thought the next big advance in medicine is coming.
g'luck, don't stress. look over the interview feedback section here

Congrats. Read the interview feedback and don't worry about ethic questions. They are simple things anyone can answer with a little reflection.

Congrats! Just look over your application, transcripts and essay and look at the questions people posted on the interview page. The interview really is nothing to worry about at NYCOM, its very laid back and inviting. The worst part is waiting the 3-4 weeks after your interview for their responce! Just know why you want to be a doctor and why osteopathic medicine over allopathic and you should be fine! Good luck!

Doesn't NYCOM interview you before they give you a secondary?
