I'm interested in both of these schools; however, I've read some post-interview threads stating that if you don't have an alternate means of income in addition to student loans it would be pretty hard to afford.

I solely support myself, and the majority of whatever savings I did have is going towards applications/interviews, etc. In the event that I get an interview, I don't want to waste my time making the trip up there in the event that I actually won't be able to afford to go. Any thoughts?

I can't say I found the answer to my question there; however, I'm extremely thankful that you directed me to that post considering I'll be saving an application fee.

Allow me to re-phrase: How hard is it to survive (in general, I know some students have more/less bills) while attending NYCOM? I definitely don't expect to be going on any shopping sprees, but if only enough student loans are available to cover rent and tuition I'm clearly going to be in trouble.

Don't rent in expensive LI neighborhoods.
