has everyone recieved a secondary from nycom? im am wondering because i did get a letter from them in september telling me that they have recieved my aacom primary and would be sending out a secondary, but its november and i still havent received a secondary from them. I have received every secondary from all the osteopathic schools i have applied to, so im pretty much just wondering whats going on.

i think you need to be invited for an interview first. once you get that invitation, they send you a secondary app that you fill out and bring with you to the interview.

I havent received an interview (hopefully i do). I called the office and they said that im still being reviewed...but they pre-screen people for interview and secondary.

you should call them up and find out your status...they'r really nice. and i think they keep a record of when you called, cuz when i called the second time, they said, "heyyy you called like on such and such date last week!" LOL

I received an interview at KCUMB before submitting my secondary. I spoke with someone there and she told me they do that for (very few) select/competitive applicants. Normally secondary ---> interview.

Oh sorry, i guess they do it both ways. I remember getting the interview invite along with the secondary though. I think if you apply early, they do that...

Ah yes, pre secondary interview invites are done selectively and rarely at every school. Congrats if you were one of the lucky ones! 😀

I think the question was about schools, like NYCOM, that only send secondaries to people they have already invited to interview.

I think that most pre-secondary invites from schools other than NYCOM come very early in the cycle.
