NYCOM update

If you don't mind me asking...what was missing? I got a letter from them a few weeks ago about sending LORs in which I have not done yet since I am playing phone/email tag with a letter writer right now. Is it classes you're missing? Thanks much in advance!
I think that's the same letter I got. It said on it that I could start to send in my LORS. I'll doublecheck it when I get home tonight.
Once you get that letter then you can send all LORs now.

Unless things have changed you will get a 2ndry and interview invite at the same time. You bring the 2ndry application and 2ndry fee to the interview. This is how it has been recent years.

I know most people know this already, but I am seeing questions about whether people are getting secondaries from NYCOM yet. They only hand out secondaries to those who are getting interviews. No interview invites have been sent out (I think), so that means no secondaries yet. Just wanted to calm any nerves out there. 😀
Last year when I discussed this with the director of admissions I was told they like to send out secondaries after the yearly Open House. By then some of you may be sitting on some acceptances already. 😀
dang it, that means showing your face at the open house is important... 5 hour plane ride...$$$.......hmmm
might as well check out touro-harlem while i'm out there...oops, did I say----------------
nycom and touro, if it's gonna be in harlem, are pretty far from each other. i'll have to say about a 1 - 1.5 hr drive cuz nycom is on long island and harlem is pretty far up manhattan
so is this touro thing going to happen? I hate to be the one to ask...sounded that way from a post i saw recently...i would be so absolutely jolly if that were to be the case.
yea, i realize nycom and *touro-ny* are not that close, but heck, i'm flying out from the other side of the country...might as well check 'em out at the same time. though, i'm not sure if touro has set up shop yet. so excited!!!!!
i think the touro thing is happening. i know one of the doctors who's gonna be a head guy there or whatever.
