Hey everyone, just wondering if anyone is waitlisted at NYCOM thus far and if anyone has any info/experiences heard from others as to how it works. I received a letter saying I was placed on the "Wait List". Has anyone else gotten the same type of letter or knows if there are different "tiers" of waitlist. I stumbled across an older thread on SDN (from 2004) when NYCOM had another director of admissions. It stated that some students were placed in an accept-hold, priority waitlist and reg waitlist. Has this happened to anyone? I was stunned to see how the thread panned out b/c essentially from what was posted, NYCOM didn't even start to look at the waitlist until the end of July and ultimately took some 12-15 people (according to what was posted) only off the accept-hold list (despite some people being on the reg waitlist since january). This has gotten me somewhat concerned and I was hoping if anyone had any light they could shed on this situation. Thanks!

I interviewed March 16th and haven't heard anything yet. I know someone who interviewed the same day as me and he heard back 2 weeks later (rejection). I don't know if this means I'm on a waiting list and they just don't send out wait-list notices (i've read that in one thread) or they didn't get to my application (which is what the admissions office said when I called) or they put my application aside cause they don't know what to do with it (reject, waitlist, accept?).
Good luck with your wait-list. I think it's a good sign they sent u a letter.
