That website makes me SICK! Whoever they hired as the webmaster should be tarred and feathered. It's completely lacking in information. Try comparing NYCOM's site to PCOM's and you will see a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE difference. That being said, does anyone know where I might be able to get like a PDF or HTML graphic/verbal breakdown of NYCOM's curriculum for the first two years? To Current NYCOM Students: How Many courses did you take at a time you first year? Thanks. 😀

Don't get me started on the website. Ive already complained to them and the said they were in the process of making a new one. In all seriousness my 3 year old sister could have made a better website...and i dont have a 3 year old sister (ba dum chhh). Please don't let the website deter you from the school it doesnt really mean much.
To answer your question we do go by the block system here.
For first year its something like this, we have a total of 6 blocks:
Anatomy- 5 blocks
Biochemistry- 3blocks
Human Genetics- 1 block
Histology- 2 blocks
Human Diversity- several classes
Microbiology- 3 blocks (2blocks lab)
OMM- All blocks
Pathology- 2 blocks
Physical Diagnosis- 2 blocks (sort of)
Physiology- 5 blocks
I don't know if this link will work but here is the tentative 2nd year schedule.

P.S. - if you want critique the 2nd year schedule...its a work in progress

At least it looks decent. LECOM's site looks like it was made on a free geocities account. To the webmaster: there is a font other than Times New Roman and try some graphics.
At least I'm not alone, thanks Cowboy! Also, that was a great link. That curriculum looks great, good luck with it! (nicedream), did you go to Rollins? I thought I read that you did in another post. I sent in my deposit to Rollins for the Fall 2004 semester (I'm a H.S. senior) but decided not to attend at the last minute, since I got into a combined B.S./D.O. program with SUNY and NYCOM. I really loved the Rollins campus when I was down there and am going to miss the sun and fun. 🙁 🙁 Good luck at LECOM!
if you have been accepted to nycom the schedule is floating around somewhere... I know its out because my sister is an incoming freshman next year and her 1st year is a lot shorter than mine was....

Hey... is it possible for you to copy that schedule and send it out? I haven't seen it... come to think of it, I haven't heard from them since I gave them my $1500 bucks... haha
BTW, what year are u nymedstdnt? I know NYCOM's been playing around with the curriculum the last couple of years... hopefully ours would be a little better.
umm I don't know where it is.. will have to do some research into it, anyway I am finishing up my second year so I am class of 2006. Nycom has played around since neuro is now a second year course... let's see what happens
