I heard that NYCPM gives out scholarships at their school. Does anyone know what the range of the scholarship are and what kind of statistics we need to get them?

no one seems to like your thread son. try asking how hot girls are, you'll def get input. haha

stay warm in philly bro. make sure you strectch before you hit the gym.

I will attempt to answer this post as it appears nobody has done so yet.
Before I continue, please keep in mind I know nothing about the DAT exam so I can't explore if your DAT scores are "good" or "bad."

It seems that with your current statistics (through the link you have listed to pre-dent) you could get accepted to NCYPM but I'm not too sure about scholarships. Your science GPA is ok, if not a bit low, but the main thing against you is that your overall GPA is average too. Enough for acceptance but probably not a large scholarship (if any).

What really perplexes me is that your pre-dent link shows that you applied to the 2009 Dental School Cycle, ableit with no success so far. It is good that you have a quite signifant repetoire of Pod shadowing, but it will send red flags up to some schools that you applied both to Dental and Podiatry within the same year. How long have you been looking into podiatry?

he's only asking cause they gave him a s%$t load of money.

My podiatry GPA comes out alot higher than my dental GPA. Its about 3.7 for podiatry

roninishya:
Chober hasn't done any "pod" shadowing...his profile says "Peds" as in pediatrics (unless of course it was a podiatrist and he doesn't know the difference?). But I think you are right about no scholarship. In fact, if Chober hasn't done any POD shadowing then he isn't even going to get accepted to a podiatry school.

That makes no sense. Your GPA is your GPA. My guess is that you're thinking your "podiatry GPA" is just the pre-reqs that the primary application asks you to fill out. I hope you realize that any graduate school is going to look at your Official Transcript from your undergraduate institution. Meaning, your GPA is going to be seen by any pod/dental/med/PA/chiro/nursing/I can't think of any more, school the same. I like that you are optimistic though! LOL

roninishya + dtrack: are you people dense?? not only did he get accepted, but they offered him (chober) large amounts of scholarship money. pay attention people.

I did shadow, I did get accepted, I did get a scholarship

My bad...I misread the question 😕

its all gravy, theres a big story behind my grades
