Hi Everyone,

Any advice about doing a rotation at New York Eye & Ear? What's a typical day like for medical students? How much OR time? Opportunities for research? How many students are there? Do we rotate through all of the clinics? Is there call? Is there a presentation or exam at the end of the rotation? Anything I'm forgetting?

I would also love to hear anyone's advice about this. Do you have to do an away at NYEE in order to match? Can anyone please comment?

Thanks....

hey there; i did a rotation there during my 4th year; unless you have a compelling reason like needing to match in nyc, i don't recommend it; the attendings are mean, the residents stressed out, and everyone will tell you "don't come here"; i got such a bad impression from them that i did not even interview there.

Did you get a LOR or an "A"? I wouldn't mind going there knowing I will have a letter from a NYEE faculty. I know its not BPEI but its the best I can do!
