I recently was accepted into nycom, and it is my number 1 school.
However, I am in a bit of a pickle with cost of living and rent rate issues...
I am married and have an inseparable little maltese that my wife especially can't live without.
As such, I get the feeling we will have to have a place to ourselves.
I was just wondering how people in a similar situation to me attending nycom are faring as far as cost of living, especially rent? I looked at areas near old westbury, and the cheapest I could find was 1700/month...
What is your source of income? are you paying everything through loans?
Are there nice cheap safe areas at or near the school that anyone can recommend?
I apologize if this has already been answered in another thread, but I could only find threads that were about recruiting roommates and whatnot... but I would love links to those threads too if they exist..
