Hey everybody:

I am trying to find a hotel for my NYMC interview and I am finding it impossible. Can anybody share with me some close by, relatively cheap hotels? Thank you

you should call the school - i'm sure they can provide you with a list of close-by hotels. last year, it seemed like a lot of the interviewers on my day stayed with student hosts. they should have sent you an e-mail link with the names of students willing to host interviewers, right? good luck.

The cheapest hotel close by is the Wellesly Inn. It is $100 a night with the NYMC discount. The student hosts are free, but think about whether you want to stay in someone's tiny room, or if you want some alone time/space to prepare.

i think theres that ramada of some sorts down the road a little on 9A(which is the same road as NYMC is on)

there might be hotels in white plains,although i cant remember any off the top of my head.which is kind of pathetic since i live so close to the campus anyways.

Hey paranitroxide,

how are you planning on getting there (to NYMC)? I know they say it's really expensive to fly to the Westchester Airport, but it seems like such a hassle to get to Grand Central, then take a train, then take a taxi. Oh well. I suppose this whole process is a pain 🙂

Anyone know if NYMC is on rolling admissions? I was considering waiting a little bit before I schedule my interview, in case other NY schools invite me, that way I can use 1 flight.......

I remember reading in an earlier thread that it was just best to interview early......

how come you aren't staying with a student host? After buying this airplane ticket, i think my options are student host or sleep on the side walk....

If NYMC had just e-mailed me ONE DAY EARLIER, i could have scheduled my 2 NY interviews on the same trip. *sigh* But it's too late.

Oh well. hey txguy, maybe we'll bump into eachother at the interview 🙂

Well, I used to be an IT consultant, so I have alot of AA miles left due to traveling!

I just checked, and I can use my miles to fly to HPN for 10 bucks!

Hi everyone, didn't want to start a new thread since this is on housing.

For those who have confirmed an interview date with NYMC, have you received a list of student hosts yet?? I wanted to wait a few days before I started bugging NYMC about it --give them some time. I was thinking of driving to Valhalla the night before since the interview time is way too early for me to drive many many hours up. So anyway, just wondering if anyone has been emailed or snail mailed a list of potential student hosts.

Yep, mine was attached to the email as well. 2 pdf docs I think...
