Two of my friends, within a week, received calls from NYMC saying that they were contacted for an interview and never responded, so their application was being dropped. Now both of my friends say that they never received anything from NYMC about any itnerviews, or anything else for that matter, so maybe NYMC pulled a Mount Sinai

Thats horrible.... how did that happen? Should people be checking in with them just in case?

hey,
i was never contacted after my amcas was received about completing a secondary -- my theory is probably that it went into my bulk folder... so i had to go seek out the 2ndary on their website. i wonder if that's what happened to your friends... how weird! their interview invite email came through though... hmmm...

What do you mean "they pulled a mt. sinai"? Is MSSM known for sending phantom interviews? Should I be calling them to make sure they didn't offer me one that I somehow missed? Ha - just to be offered an interview from them would be heavenly.

I've been complete since august, and still no word... but I know people who have been complete since then as well and have already interviewed.... maybe it's an unofficial "hold" for me? I wish their online application status page gave you more info....
