NYMC vs Drexel

NYMC

Pros: From the NY area, have a significant other who works in NYC so would have a close support system, NYC clinical options for rotations, smaller class sizes. Considering competitive specialty and it seems match list at NYMC might be stronger. Did SMP here so I feel comfortable with some of the M1 material.

Cons: Suburban campus (Philly seems much cooler), COL (Very very high in Westchester), tuition (Drexel is similar though)

Drexel

Pros: Philly (getting away from home, new experiences), lots of self studying, not that far from home (could travel for a weekend).

Cons: Also high tuition, large class size, not as educated on the curriculum (although I'm sure its similar), Hahnemann closure, farther from significant other.



Right now leaning more towards NYMC but I would love any advice!!

NYMC. Reputation and cost similar between the two, plus having your support system close to you is very important.

NYMC for having your SO nearby; they also match all over in NY and northeast if that's your ultimate goal. Reputation is similar. Drexel you have a lottery for clinical rotations FYI, I'd rather not have to deal with that.

Definitely NYMC, simply for the reason to stay close to a S/O. I would even suggest staying close to your S/O even if the other school was significantly better.
