I just got an email saying that I am not eligible for TAP or other New York State awards. I am an NY state resident and will be attending Buffalo Dental (grad).
Is this common? My family and I are lower class (socioeconomically on the low end of the spectrum) with no assets and no job. Why would I not be eligible?

Most grad students seem to be in the same boat when it comes to loans. It seems the majority of your loans are going to come from grad + I believe.

I believe the same thing, for grad you dont qualify for the same financial aid, however you should find out if there is a scholarship offered or some sort of aid package you can apply for.

Exactly, grad is usually either scholarships or loans. However, schools often have scholarships that are on a need basis so you might want to find out about that. Also google and see but im almost certain that grad does not get the same financial aid help from the state as undergrad.
