NYU acceptances are here. I received a big white envelope with a New York University logo on the upper left hand corner. It's all black and white, no purple anywhere on the envelope.

Deposit is $1500 no later than Jan 15.

i never received an interview invite but I was told either way I will be getting something in the mail. They said they are sending something to all applicants whose application has been complete for more than 4 weeks.

so i am guessing I will be receiving a rejection letter in the mail soon. I thought 20/23/18 was good enough to receive an interview at least.

Don't lose hope. More likely than not, it's probably an interview. I don't think they don't send out rejection letters early like Case or Nova.

how many people that apply to NYU and get accepted actually go? Is it considered a fall back school? My dad is an alum, and I applied... but I don't think i'll be getting in unless a good number of people don't end up going that they originally accepted. Just wondering.

NYU typically starts sending out rejections from March on, busdent, what's happening, long time no speak!!! The email typically precedes the interview! In other words: you should get an email invite from them. I really don't think you have to worry busdent, you're stats are MORE than enough grounds for an w/o interview acceptance, keep your head up & its only a matter of time before you get it!!!!!!!! 🙂 Dood luck with those letters, you'll all get in eventually, hang in there!

Well, technically GTA... oakville. I got the letter this morning in my mailbox. It was sent by UPS in a big envelope.

NYU typically starts sending out rejections from March on, good luck with those letters, you'll all get in eventually, hang in there!

thats not what i was told..i was told that for people whose app has been complete for a while (till the end of oct or so) they will hear back either way..

Really? The above situation was what I've heard & noticed over the years! I"m not sure if they changed things this year!!!

totally unrelated, but I'm from Buffalo and I play ice hockey and there were a total if zero other female teams to play against in the area, but Oakville had a team- so would drive up there, like every other weekend to play games. Oakville, Hamilton, Brampton etc... I'm a big fan of Canada!

i agree with dj and ddsy. I was told at my interview that they usually hold off on rejections bc they have a poor matriculation rate bc of the cost of NYU. That being said its probably a good thing if you get mail from them around this time. Still waiting for my letter of rejection/acceptance. That is why they interview people so late too, because most likely or not people will choose their cheap state school over the cost of NYU.

Yes, Oakville is in Ontario, and it WAS UPS express, but I did not have to sign for it as it was placed in my mailbox.
